The word “ecology” comes from a Greek word, meaning “household”. As we connect with our humanity, we recognize our planet as a collective household, our true home and sanctuary. Ecology refers to the perfection in natural synergistic systems, in which the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. The holistic approach reveals the inner workings of organisms as part of the ever-evolving ideal of inherent natural perfection. Ecology is intimately related to holism in that it acknowledges the integration of humans with nature.
